Last night I go to participate in the Coalfield Writers Galleria Premier.  It just means that teachers who developed lesson for other teachers set up a demonstration and explained their lesson and those teahers were given a copy of y our lesson to use.

It was nice, about 40-50 teachers were present and telling them about a lesson they could possible use in their classroom is an honor.  I had fun talking to them and rediscovering people I once knew.  A former neighbor and student is teaching in Logan county and I got to meet him for the first time in six years.  He showed me a picture of his wife and two year old daughter.  Lovely people.

What I learned was teachers thought teaching students to become active listeners was important in all grade levels–kindergarten to twelvth.  It is awesome when other peers believe you have contributed to the education of their children.  I am also published on the web and in the Business Education Publishing  newsletter.

I was there from 5-6:30 and had a wonderful time.  Thank you Coalfield Writers for helping teachers develop good writing lessons.
